Women’s Movement and Political Protest in Hungary

This study aims to summarize the political protests of women organizations in theoretical framework and examines their impact between January and November 2013. After brief introduction of civil society organizations influencing the most events of examined period, there are detailed resumes of political protest actions comparing to key issues, background, international linkage, number of participants and impacts. Furthermore we paid special attention to discuss the key communication channels of keeping contacts with activist networks and mobilize them. Finally, the paper positions the role of women’s organizations and movements of 2013 in legislative and political agenda shaping.
